Noreen & Alan purchased their first German Shepherd Dog from Tairnbacher Kennels in 1992, Tairnbacher Quini, known to everyone as Kaz, ruler of their home & involved in all of Alan’s community services activities - CFA, SES & Mine Rescue Services.

Kazkiri German Shepherd Dogs was established in 1993. The kennel prefix is the combined pet names of Kaz & her daughter Kiri (Kazkiri Anastacia).

Kazkiri German Shepherd Dogs is situated in Central Victoria (Australia), in the picturesque village of Elphinstone & in the vicinity of the Coliban Falls - pictures here.

Kazkiri is the home of Excellent graded Hilltop Vroni, Australian Champion Kazkiri Divine Miss M, & Jannire Black Velvet (Bebe), a Vroni granddaughter. Bebe is just beginning on her show career & has been graded Very Promising at her first show. They also have Kazkiri Dana Scully - Bebe's dam - in partnership with Jannire Kennels.

Kazkiri are not prolific breeders, but are determined to breed from the best German Shepherd Dog bloodlines available to them in Australia, the emphasis always being to breed the all-round dog that is sound in mind & body, strong in character & harmonious in build.

When Kazkiri have litters, they make sure their puppies are entrusted to loving committed homes. Kazkiri Kennels are dedicated to providing assistance & loving care to every puppy they produce.

In 2005, Noreen & Alan invited Larna Chapman to become a partner of the Kazkiri team. Larna had been involved with Kazkiri German Shepherd Dogs for approximately 10 years, commencing in the Child Handler classes. Larna quickly showed that she had a rapport with the dogs & flair in the show ring. Because of her study at University for a Law Degree, plus work commitments, Larna was unable to spend as much time training, showing & handling as Alan & Noreen would have liked her to. Though Larna still has all these other obligations she has decided to become more involved with the daily routine of life at Kazkiri German Shepherd Dogs. They are sure Larna will be an absolute asset at Kazkiri with her integrity, her willingness to learn, her people skills, & the natural affinity she has with the animals.

Kazkiri feel that their greatest achievement is being able to produce German Shepherd Dogs - renowned for their intelligence & beloved faithfulness to their owners - which are sound in mind & body, welcomed & loved by the people who own them as a staunch family member & protector.

Kazkiri take pride in their stock & always strive for a correct balance of Temperament, Soundness & Construction.

Kazkiri follow the German Shepherd Dog Council of Australia Breed Improvement Schemes for Tattooing, Breed Survey & Hip & Elbow X-raying of their dogs.

Kazkiri have a small number of German Shepherd Dogs residing at their home at any one time, as this ensures that their German Shepherd Dogs are part of the family. Their dogs are much loved & valued companions. This is evident in their keeping & raising of puppies as treasured companions, loved family members & canine good citizens that they are proud to have represent the German Shepherd Dog breed !
